A significant leadership shakeup has taken place in the capital of Uzbekistan as the heads of three major Tashkent districts were relieved of their duties due to transitions to other positions, according to the city administration's press service. The sweeping personnel changes affected the Chilanzar, Yashnabad, and Yangihayot districts.

Saidqahhor Xolxo'jayev, who had led the Chilanzar district since August 2022, is among those stepping down. His previous career includes high-ranking positions such as First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank. Reports suggest he is slated to assume the role of Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

Similarly, Baxtiyor Rahmonqulov, who managed the Yashnabad district for over six years, and Hayot Inog'omov, who headed the Yangihayot district since its inception in late 2020, have also left their posts. Both officials previously served as deputy mayors of Tashkent before taking over their respective districts.

As of now, the municipal authorities have not released any official information regarding who will be appointed as the new leaders for these prominent metropolitan districts.
