Local authorities announced a significant leadership shakeup today, appointing new mayors across four major districts of Tashkent, namely Chilanzar, Yashnabad, Yangihayot, and Yakkasaray. These administrative changes come amid persistent structural challenges and mounting pressure on local governance to deliver tangible results in urban development and public services.

According to the official announcements, Hayot Ilyasovich Inogamov has been designated as the new mayor of the Chilanzar district. Born in 1986, Inogamov previously served as the head of the Yangihayot district and held various administrative positions within the transport infrastructure sector and municipal government. He replaces Saidqahhor Kholkhojaev, who had led the Chilanzar district since August 2022 and is purportedly moving to a position as Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

Concurrently, Lazizbek Pulatovich Temirov has been appointed to succeed Inogamov as the mayor of Yangihayot district, having previously worked as the first deputy mayor for economic and poverty reduction issues in the Yashnabad district. Meanwhile, Abdulaziz Akhatovich Abdulhakov has been confirmed as the new head of the Yashnabad district, stepping into the role amid ongoing scrutiny over municipal management effectiveness.
