Karomiddin Gadoev has officially assumed his responsibilities as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Brunei, presenting his credentials to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah during a formal state ceremony. This diplomatic milestone marks a continuation of efforts to build ties with Southeast Asian nations.

Following the credential presentation ceremony, a bilateral meeting took place to evaluate the current state and future prospects of relations between the two countries. During his visit, Ambassador Gadoev also held substantive talks with Brunei's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Abdul Mateen, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Erywan Yusof.

The discussions focused heavily on identifying new avenues for practical cooperation. Both sides reportedly agreed to step up efforts in developing trade and economic ties, while also exploring joint initiatives in education, culture, and tourism sectors.

Gadoev brings extensive diplomatic experience to the role, having served within the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1995. He has held various positions within the central apparatus, worked at Uzbekistan’s mission to NATO, and served at the embassy in Brussels. Since November 2023, he has been serving as Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Malaysia, operating from his residence in Kuala Lumpur.
