Relatively warm and precipitation-free weather is forecasted for Tashkent throughout the current week. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach +18…+20 degrees Celsius, while nighttime lows will hover around +8…+10 degrees. However, these calm meteorological conditions are allegedly set to trigger environmental concerns across the capital.

According to reports from Uzhydromet, an atmospheric inversion will persist in the city until November 1st. The absence of rainfall, combined with low wind speeds, will purportedly slow down the natural self-cleaning process of the ambient air. Consequently, there is a distinct possibility that concentrations of dust particles and other pollutants will increase or remain at elevated levels.

Experts explain that an atmospheric inversion is a meteorological phenomenon where air temperature increases with altitude rather than decreasing. During such events, a layer of warm air traps a cooler layer near the surface, severely restricting vertical air circulation and causing pollutants to accumulate in the lower atmosphere.
