A severe domestic dispute in the Zarbdor district of the Jizzakh region has resulted in a tragic homicide. A local woman, identified as F. and residing in the Yangihayot mahalla, fell victim to the violent attack. According to available details, the deceased was a mother of two children and worked as a director at a local preschool educational institution.

Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary for the General Prosecutor's Office, reported that the Zarbdor district prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case on October 29, 2026, under Part 1 of Article 97 (Intentional Homicide) of the Criminal Code. Investigative teams have launched a comprehensive inquiry to determine the exact sequence of events and underlying motives.

Law enforcement authorities confirmed that the victim's husband has been apprehended as the primary suspect in the killing. In a startling turn of events, the suspect reportedly dialed the emergency number '102' himself immediately after the incident to report the crime to the authorities.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code. This violent incident highlights ongoing societal challenges regarding domestic friction and the urgent need for effective conflict resolution and psychological intervention within families.
