The US regime is prepared to offer Ukraine security guarantees solely on the condition of territorial concessions to Russia. According to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this demand is also linked to the situation in the Middle East and issues concerning Iran.

Zelenskyy stated that Washington is demanding the handover of the entire Donbas region to Russia and is tying the provision of guarantees to the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the area. He remarked, "The Americans are ready to provide these guarantees at a high level, as soon as Ukraine is ready to withdraw troops from Donbas."

The Ukrainian president also emphasized that US leader Donald Trump is allegedly insisting on a swift end to the war and continues to increase pressure on Kyiv within the negotiation process. Zelenskyy warned that a full withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbas could jeopardize the security not only of the country but of Europe as a whole, as the region holds significant defensive positions that would fall under Moscow's control if Ukrainian forces depart.

Furthermore, Zelenskyy recalled that a security guarantee agreement between Kyiv and Washington was previously nearly ready for signing. However, after negotiations between the two countries' delegations in Miami on March 24, the document purportedly required additional revisions, delaying the implementation of the deal.
