The Asian Continental Championships in throwing disciplines were held in Mokpo, South Korea, where Uzbekistan's representatives performed successfully, securing two medals — gold and silver.

The standout performer was Sarvar Ismoilov, who won the gold medal in javelin throw with a result of 77.39 meters, which also set a new personal best for the athlete.

Another medal was contributed by Ayubkhon Fayezov, who claimed silver in the hammer throw with a distance of 71.33 meters.

Earlier, at the 6th Asian Beach Games in China, Uzbekistan's team won a gold medal as Barnokhon Sayfullaeva topped the high jump event.
