One of the biggest group games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, as Colombia face Portugal in a battle for top spot in Group K. Both teams have already secured their places in the round of 32.

Colombia, powered by Luis Diaz and Daniel Munoz, lead the group with six points from two matches. Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, are second with four points. The outcome of this match will determine the group winner.

A capacity crowd is expected at Hard Rock Stadium, with tickets reportedly selling for thousands of dollars. Due to the large Colombian-American population in the Miami area, Colombia will enjoy partisan support. Portugal coach Roberto Martinez acknowledged his team would be playing “away from home.”

Colombia coach Nestor Lorenzo called Portugal one of the tournament favorites and stressed the need for “special tactical discipline.” He highlighted the threat posed by Ronaldo and Vitinha, saying they cannot be left unattended.

Opta’s supercomputer gives Portugal a 48.9% chance of winning, Colombia 26%, and a draw 25.1%. Colombia have a 53.32% probability of finishing top of the group.

Group K also includes the Democratic Republic of Congo (1 point) and Uzbekistan (0 points). Uzbekistan are bottom and must beat DR Congo to have any chance of advancing.
