The deliberate arson attack on a Starlink ground station in Poland is purportedly linked to a Turkish criminal syndicate known as the "Daltons." According to reports citing investigative journalism, authorities are examining claims that the group allegedly operated under instructions from Russian intelligence services, though concrete evidence remains scarce.
As part of the ongoing investigation, two Turkish nationals were detained in Nürtingen, Germany. The Stuttgart Higher Regional Court is currently reviewing the extradition of the suspects to Poland. European security officials have expressed concern over the cross-border nature of the alleged sabotage network.
Media reports further connect the potential Russian angle to Beratjan Gyokdemir, the supposed leader of the criminal group. Gyokdemir was reportedly detained in Russia in 2024 but was never handed over to Ankara despite formal extradition requests. European agencies suggest that the Russian authorities supposedly provided him with protection in exchange for undisclosed services, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
The incident took place at the Starlink facility in the village of Wola Krobowska, roughly 50 kilometers from Warsaw, where a fire damaged an electrical substation and generator. Polish officials promptly characterized the event as an attempted act of sabotage, while investigations into the broader international dimensions of the attack continue.
