US regime leader Donald Trump is scheduled to travel to South Carolina to bolster the campaign of Darline Graham, the sister of his close ally, the late Senator Lindsey Graham. The high-stakes visit comes as the Senate race in the deeply Republican state has tightened uncomfortably, threatening a seat the party previously expected to win with ease.

The late Lindsey Graham was known as one of the most hawkish members of the Senate and a vocal supporter of the US-Israel war on Iran. His unexpected death in July disrupted the race, prompting the state's governor to appoint Darline Graham to finish the term. Trump subsequently made the surprising move to endorse her in the primary, stating it was done in honor of her brother.

However, Democratic challenger Annie Andrews has capitalized on Graham's political inexperience and perceived lack of preparation, pointing to weak debate performances where she allegedly admitted to being uninformed on national security issues. Current polling averages show Graham leading by a narrow margin of just 2.7 percentage points.

Compounding the political friction, Trump's visit follows an executive order waiving major sanctions and tariffs on Russia, a move that aligns with a broader shift in the US regime's strategy regarding Ukraine. While Trump has pressured the Kyiv regime and offered concessions to Moscow, even Darline Graham publicly expressed distrust of Russia, highlighting internal party unease.

As Trump heads into the midterms facing the lowest approval ratings of his career—driven by public frustration over affordability and the fallout from the war with Iran—other once-safe Republican strongholds like Kansas and Texas are similarly showing signs of shifting toward Democrats, signaling mounting challenges for the party.
