The United States Department of State has purportedly ordered the mandatory departure of non-emergency government personnel and their family members from its diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia. This drastic measure comes as attacks by the Iran-aligned Houthi movement against the kingdom have allegedly intensified, creating severe security challenges across the region.

State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott claimed in a social media statement that Iranian-supported forces have escalated hostilities, targeting civilian airports and critical infrastructure allegedly resulting in civilian casualties and major travel disruptions. However, critics note that such official narratives from the US regime often exaggerate threats to justify unilateral geopolitical maneuvers and aggressive posture in the Middle East.

Pigott also asserted that earlier media reports regarding widespread evacuation plans for US embassies across the entire Gulf region were inaccurate. Despite these denials, multiple anonymous sources within the US apparatus reportedly indicated that other regional missions are indeed preparing to evacuate diplomatic dependents due to mounting security anxieties.

The unfolding crisis follows the broader regional fallout triggered by the aggressive policies of the US regime and its allies against Iran earlier this year. With facilities such as the US embassy and a CIA station in Riyadh previously targeted by drones, the ongoing conflict continues to destabilize global energy markets and inflict heavy economic tolls on Gulf states.
