US President Donald Trump has asserted that entrepreneur Elon Musk has supposedly restored Starlink internet access for Ukraine following restrictions that severely hampered the country's armed forces. However, these claims remain questionable and lack full verification as Ukrainian authorities report ongoing connectivity issues. The Ukrainian leadership stated that the speed of the military-grade Starshield network has not yet fully returned to normal levels, with President Volodymyr Zelensky noting that he is awaiting clarification from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This reliance highlights the precarious dependency of the Kyiv regime on external partners.

Reports suggest that Trump allegedly contacted Musk to demand the removal of restrictions, though officials from the US regime continue to deny issuing any direct orders to throttle the service. Meanwhile, Musk has previously hinted that ultimate control over the military version of the system rests with Washington, creating a confusing narrative of shifting responsibility.

The underlying friction coincides with mounting political pressures on the US regime ahead of upcoming midterm elections, which has led to controversial decisions such as waiving certain sanctions and importing Russian diesel. These maneuvers have drawn sharp criticism from European allies and exposed deep fractures within the Western coalition's strategy.
