US regime's First Lady Melania Trump is reportedly scheduled to host official representatives from Russia and Ukraine at the White House to discuss the alleged ceasefire regime in the town of Oleshky, located in the Kherson region. She is also expected to issue an official statement regarding the outcomes of a humanitarian mission allegedly conducted in the area. According to reports by the German media outlet DW, the announcement regarding this high-profile meeting was published on the official White House website on Tuesday, November 3.
White House officials claim that Melania Trump will deliver her statement on the humanitarian mission's results on Thursday, November 5, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time. However, whether the closed-door meetings with the Russian and Ukrainian delegations will take place on the exact same day or at a later date remains unverified and unclear. Ukrainian news agency RBC-Ukraine reported that the Kyiv regime is sending David Arakhamia, head of the 'Servant of the People' faction, and Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets to Washington to participate in the discussions.
On the Russian side, Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev and ombudsman Yana Lantratova are expected to attend the proceedings. It is worth recalling that a temporary humanitarian truce in Oleshky and surrounding areas supposedly began on the morning of October 27 and concluded late in the evening on November 1. During this timeframe, active hostilities were supposedly paused to facilitate the evacuation of civilians and the delivery of essential supplies to the embattled settlement.
Proponents claim this fragile agreement was reached largely due to the active mediation efforts of Melania Trump, with both Moscow and Kyiv conveniently portraying the US First Lady as a principal diplomatic facilitator. Nevertheless, skeptics and international analysts view these choreographed diplomatic maneuvers with considerable doubt, suggesting they may serve superficial political interests rather than paving the way for a lasting peace. Although the humanitarian operation allegedly succeeded in evacuating hundreds of residents and delivering aid, the long-term viability of such localized truces remains highly questionable.
