In Andijan, an organized criminal group intending to arrange the murder of an entrepreneur through a hired assassin has been detained. This was reported by the State Security Service.
On February 4, 2026, an individual entrepreneur filed a report with internal affairs authorities about an impending assassination attempt against him. According to him, an organized group of 5 people agreed on his murder for $1,500 and hired a hitman.
In the Pakhtaabad district, a special operational measure was conducted by employees of internal affairs authorities, the State Security Service, and the prosecutor's office. It was established that the leader of the organized criminal group is a 42-year-old man nicknamed "Ronaldo," previously convicted under eight articles of the Criminal Code. He offered $1,500 to a repeat offender, born in 2000 and previously convicted 7 times, for the murder of the entrepreneur and was detained while handing over 300,000 soums.
Subsequently, other participants of the group were also detained: the head of the Pakhtaabad district medical association nicknamed "Chief Doctor," a 42-year-old man nicknamed "Boxer," a citizen born in 1984, as well as a 23-year-old student.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the group members under Article 25, Article 97 Part 2 Clause "p" of the Criminal Code—attempted intentional murder committed by a group of persons or an organized group.
Previously in Samarkand, individuals attempting to organize the murder of an acquaintance through a hired executor were also detained.
