Hillary Clinton testified before a US House of Representatives committee investigating the crimes of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In recent weeks, she and her husband Bill Clinton agreed to testify, marking a reversal from their previous defiant stance. This move averted potential contempt-of-Congress proceedings against them.

Hillary Clinton stated she never met Epstein but acknowledged meeting his associate Ghislaine Maxwell on a few occasions. Bill Clinton emphasized he cut ties with Epstein two decades ago and had no knowledge of his crimes.

They have criticized the investigation as politically motivated and view testifying as setting a precedent that "applies to everyone." Bill Clinton's testimony is scheduled for Friday.
