A criminal case has been initiated in Tashkent's Mirabad district after a traffic police officer was hit by a vehicle. The investigation is being conducted under Article 266 of the Criminal Code ("Violation of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules").

The incident occurred on February 25. The driver was a 15-year-old student from a private school in the capital, operating a BMW M4 without a valid driver's license. The traffic police officer was on duty and sustained injuries due to the severe traffic violation.

Investigative measures are underway to determine all circumstances of the case. Authorities are also examining how the minor gained access to the high-performance sports car and the potential involvement of parents or the vehicle owner.

Earlier reports on social media claimed the officer had died. The Public Safety Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs officially denied these claims, stating that information about the officer's death is false. The officer is currently under medical supervision.
