Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, made a return visit to the Navoi Family Polyclinic in the Urgut district of Samarkand region, as she announced on her Telegram channel.
Following her initial visit four months ago, the polyclinic, built in 1972, was completely rebuilt on the instruction of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the first visit, Mirziyoyeva described the conditions as 'beyond comment' — rooms were stuffy and smelled musty, with plaster peeling off walls. The facility is the only nearby maternity clinic for residents of 16 villages.
She announced the development of a master plan to improve the entire regional healthcare system. 'This is not just about renovating buildings, but about rethinking the approach to primary healthcare itself,' she stated.
'Now the maternity ward meets the most modern requirements,' said the administration head. 'The other day, the first baby — Shavkatjon — was born here. I see this as a sign that all our efforts are blessed,' she wrote, attaching a photo of herself holding the newborn.
Mirziyoyeva also visited the family of farmer Khaydarovs. 'Their experience undoubtedly deserves wide promotion,' she said.
Additionally, she reviewed a project to reconstruct water supply networks in the Toyloq district, aiming to provide drinking water to all mahalla residents.
