In the Syrdarya region, movement of citizens and passenger vehicles has resumed through the "Atameken" checkpoint on the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border, following the completion of construction work on the adjacent side. Border control procedures have been simplified, which is expected to speed up passage through the checkpoint.

According to the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, as reported on March 23, the work has been completed at Kazakhstan's "Atameken" checkpoint. These efforts aim to enhance border infrastructure and optimize the crossing process.

The committee stated that the simplified procedures will facilitate more convenient and faster border crossings. This is particularly significant for boosting trade, economic, and tourism ties between the two nations.

The committee also urged citizens to strictly adhere to established rules when undergoing border and customs control. This call is made to ensure security and order at the border crossing point.
