A meeting between representatives of Uzbekistan and Russia took place at the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, where the sides discussed ways to make labor migration more transparent and safer for citizens. The meeting involved the Department of Migration and Personalization under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, as well as delegations from various ministries and agencies of both countries.

The session was chaired by Deputy General Prosecutors Dilmurad Kasymov and Pyotr Gorodov. Participants focused on protecting the rights of labor migrants, addressing existing problems, and developing practical solutions. It was noted that coordination at the supervisory level allows for prompt responses to challenges and enhances the effectiveness of cooperation.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed on additional joint measures aimed at ensuring legality and strengthening cooperation in the migration sphere, which will improve working conditions and protect the interests of citizens of both countries. According to experts, migrants contribute about 23–25% to Moscow's economy, making their labor beneficial not only economically but also from a budgetary perspective.
