At the invitation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit. During the visit, the leaders of the two countries held a meeting at Tashkent’s “Tashkent-Khumo” International Airport.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, state flags of both countries were raised and an honor guard was formed in honor of the distinguished guest. This event took place on March 26 and is aimed at strengthening friendly relations between the two nations.

Today, Uzbek-Tajik bilateral negotiations and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council are scheduled to take place. These meetings are focused on expanding economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two countries, as well as discussing regional issues.
