Uzbek cadets have secured a place in the top three at the 10th International Mathematics Olympiad for cadets of higher military educational institutions of CIS countries, held in Almaty. The intellectual competition brought together representatives from Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

The olympiad consisted of three rounds and included tasks from various branches of mathematics, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of participants' training levels. In the team standings, the Uzbek team took third place, behind Kazakhstan and Russia.

In the individual competition, Uzbek cadet Nuralibek Uzbekov was among the top performers, alongside Vladislav Molofeev from Russia and Islam Ermekov from Kazakhstan. The winners received the challenge cup of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS member states, as well as medals, certificates, and valuable gifts.

Major General Nurtas Kabakov, head of the Military Engineering Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications, noted that an important outcome of the olympiad was the strengthening of professional and friendly ties between the armed forces of the Commonwealth countries.

In addition to the competition, a cultural program was organized for participants: they learned about Kazakhstan's history, its modern achievements, and traditions of hospitality.

Earlier, the government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution approving regulations on the procedure for holding competitions in the field of intellectual activity. The new document details the processes of organizing competitions, methods for evaluating participants, and the system for awarding winners.
