A solemn welcoming ceremony was held in the Belarusian capital Minsk for President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, who arrived for an official visit.

State flags of both countries were displayed in front of the palace, and an honor guard was formed. Mirziyoyev was warmly greeted by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

National anthems were played. The leaders inspected the honor guard and greeted members of the official delegations.

After a joint photo session, high-level negotiations began. The talks are expected to focus on expanding bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
