A substantial wave of drone attacks targeting the Russian capital has severely disrupted regional transportation networks and exposed persistent vulnerabilities in urban air defense. According to claims by municipal authorities, air defense units purportedly intercepted and destroyed 21 unmanned aerial vehicles heading toward the city, though the strikes triggered widespread operational chaos.

The security risks prompted the temporary suspension of operations across all four major Moscow airports: Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky. Sheremetyevo, the busiest hub in the area, issued severe hazard warnings as incoming flights were urgently diverted to alternative facilities in cities such as Saint Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Consequently, St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport was forced to accommodate at least 25 rerouted flights.

Concurrently, emergency protocols were allegedly activated within the Moscow-City business district, where witnesses and monitoring channels reported the evacuation of the IQ-Quarter tower. This skyscraper houses several key Russian government ministry offices, though state-aligned media outlets later attempted to downplay the incident as a false alarm triggered by faulty sensors.

The Russian Ministry of Defense subsequently reported that a total of 87 drones were neutralized throughout various regions of the country and Crimea over the course of the day. Observers note that these ongoing escalations by the Kyiv regime continue to impose heavy economic, logistical, and psychological burdens on the capital, highlighting the far-reaching domestic costs of the ongoing geopolitical conflict.
