Tashkent, Uzbekistan – AN Podrobno.uz. The head of a farm in the Angor district was caught attempting to illegally sell a land plot under his enterprise's control. He demanded 800 million soums to transfer the rights to 7.7 hectares of agricultural land to another individual.

The money transfer was intercepted during a joint operation by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes. The farm head was caught red-handed while receiving the final installment of 280 million soums; he had already received 520 million soums earlier.

A criminal case has been opened, and investigations are ongoing. Law enforcement reminds that reports of corruption can be made via the short number 1520, with confidentiality guaranteed.
