Uzbekistan continues large-scale efforts to retrain and upgrade the qualifications of personnel in the social protection sector. Since January 12 of this year, specialized courses have been operating, allowing specialists in the child protection sector, as well as professors and teachers from relevant universities, to obtain qualifications in the specialty "Social Work" on an official academic basis.
Simultaneously, within the framework of the W.I.N.G.S program ("Women Identifying New Goals Leading to Safety"), an online training for facilitators has been organized. The main focus is on early identification of risks of intimate partner violence and the formation of a professional systemic approach when working with affected women. The program aims to develop the practical potential of specialists who interact daily with vulnerable population groups.
Special attention is paid to protecting the younger generation. TOT (Training of Trainers) format trainers are conducting large-scale training sessions in all 14 regions of the republic. The training program focuses on specific methods of working with children affected by violence. Participants include specialists from child protection departments, psychologists from "Inson" centers, and staff from small social assistance centers.
These initiatives help strengthen the theoretical base and develop practical skills of social protection system employees, enabling more qualitative and timely support for citizens in need across the country.
