JSC "Toshshahartransxizmat" provided an official comment on the bus incident, footage of which circulated on social media. The video showed the vehicle emitting thick black smoke from its exhaust.

The incident occurred on February 26, 2026. The bus, a SAZ LE-60 model with license plate 01 308 EKA, belongs to the "12th Bus Depot" branch and was operating route No. 184 between the Food City shopping center and Obihayet Street.

Upon detecting the smoke, the bus was promptly removed from service and sent to the depot for technical inspection. Specialists are currently conducting repairs. The bus will only return to operation after the fault is fully resolved and it passes a safety check.

The authority emphasized the importance of adhering to technical regulations and urged drivers to monitor the condition of their vehicles more closely to ensure passenger safety and maintain urban air quality.
