The press service of the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported the exposure of another plan by a group involved in human trafficking.

According to operational data, the suspect deceived women with promises of large sums of money, sent them abroad, and involved them in prostitution.

During an investigation by Kashkadarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs, it was established that the suspect had previously been held accountable for intentional infliction of serious bodily harm, hooliganism, and illegal possession of weapons.

During a pre-investigation check, it was revealed that he gained the trust of a woman named M.N., residing in Karshi city, convincing her of the possibility of easily earning large sums of money abroad. The suspect persuaded the woman that in spa salons and hotels in Istanbul, Turkey, she could earn up to 12,000 lira per day (approximately $270) by providing intimate services to clients. He also promised to cover airfare expenses on condition that she give him 50% of the earnings.

It was found that all documents for taking the woman abroad had been processed, and final preparations for departure were underway. At this point, law enforcement agencies conducted an operational measure.

During the operation, group members were detained at Tashkent International Airport while attempting to send the victim to Turkey.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 2, Clause "k" of Article 135 of the Criminal Code (human trafficking for the purpose of involving in prostitution), and he has been arrested. Investigative actions are ongoing.

Previously, in Surkhandarya region, two women were detained for deceiving three citizens who wanted to work abroad and attempting to send them to the UAE for prostitution. They were detained at the "Darband" post in Boysun district while en route to Tashkent airport. In connection with this incident, measures are being considered to initiate a criminal case on human trafficking.
