Industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan will be incentivized for measures to reduce negative environmental impact, as per a government decree adopted on February 28.

The incentives are implemented in two stages:

1. Enterprises that install air pollution monitoring stations receive incentives.
2. If such an enterprise installs dust-gas and local wastewater treatment equipment within the next year, 70% of compensation payments for environmental damage will be refunded over 2 years.

Enterprises must notify the Ecology Committee about equipment installation through state service centers or the my.gov.uz portal. Notifications are reviewed within 15 working days, after which an incentive conclusion is issued.
