On March 5, in Bekobod city, Tashkent region, an 11th-grade student named Jafarbek was beaten and then stabbed to death by several underage teenagers. According to the General Prosecutor's Office, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Intentional Murder). The authorities reported that during a verbal altercation among minors, one of them inflicted wounds on the victim's right and left chest areas with a kitchen knife. The victim was taken to a medical facility but died despite receiving medical assistance.

A Kun.uz correspondent visited the scene to interview the deceased's mother and grandmother, as well as the principal of School No. 12 where the boy studied. The mother detailed the day of the incident, stating that her son was taken to the hospital after the attack and later pronounced dead. She claimed that after the initial dispute, five teenagers from other schools arrived in a Nexia car, who first struck the boy with a stone or brick and then stabbed him in the heart area.

School principal Azamat Orinboyev described Jafarbek as a responsible and protective student but noted the incident occurred after classes. The grandmother, Gavhar Yuldosheva, demanded accountability for all perpetrators and expressed dissatisfaction that the teenagers' families had not come to apologize. She voiced skepticism about the perpetrators facing justice, fearing the case might be downplayed.

The General Prosecutor's Office assured that investigative actions would be conducted comprehensively, fully, and impartially, with a lawful decision to follow. The suspected minor has been detained in accordance with procedural rules, but the family awaits justice. This incident has sparked deep concern in Bekobod society, highlighting ongoing issues of violence among youth in the region.
