Spring Holiday for Uzbek Students Announced from March 20
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has announced that due to the Ramadan holiday (Eid al-Fitr), the spring break for students will commence on March 20 (Friday) and last until March 28 (Saturday). This holiday period is a significant part of the academic year, providing time for rest and recuperation for both students and teachers.
The start date of the holiday aligns with the observance of Ramadan on March 20, allowing students to participate in traditional celebrations and family gatherings. The ministry emphasized that to maintain educational continuity, classes scheduled for March 20 and 28 will be conducted later in a condensed format during the fourth quarter.
The fourth quarter of the academic year is set to begin on March 30 (Monday), indicating a short turnaround for students to prepare for the new term post-holiday. This decision by the ministry aims to harmonize festive dates with academic schedules, taking into account the workload faced by students.
The announcement of the spring holiday facilitates planning for parents and educational institutions, while also promoting a healthy balance for students. The ministry encourages students to use this time for relaxation and engagement with family values during the break.
