According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, during the celebration of Ramadan Hayit and Navruz holidays – from March 20 to 23 – all hospitals, specialized centers, and university clinics across the country will continue to admit patients as usual. During this period, approximately 20,000 doctors and nurses will be on duty.
In the regions, 39 inter-district centers will remain operational. All medical institutions have been supplied with necessary medications and reserve beds. Additionally, emergency medical services will also operate in regular mode during the holidays. The “103” service and its branches nationwide are prepared for calls: over 2,800 teams will be on standby in cities and districts.
Maternity hospitals and pediatric clinics will also work without days off. The ministry noted that a special headquarters has been established to coordinate the activities of medical staff. The Ministry of Health expressed gratitude to all healthcare workers who will be on shift during the festive days.
It is worth recalling that in 2025, the “103” emergency medical service across the country received more than 14.3 million calls. Thanks to the implementation of an electronic automated management system, the average response time of teams has been reduced from 25–30 to 10–15 minutes.
