The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan has signed an agreement with the American organization USA Farm Labor. According to the document, Uzbek citizens will be able to work on farms in the United States with an average monthly salary of $3,500. Agency head Behzod Musayev told Kun.uz that quotas are currently being determined as part of a pilot project.

Musayev stated that the American organization had previously mainly sourced labor from Latin American countries. The establishment of close, friendly, and strategic relations with the US in recent years has opened pathways in this field, and Uzbekistan has been added to the list of countries from which labor is recruited. "We can say we have achieved a great success. Today we are already talking about quotas," he said.

The agency head emphasized that since such a project has not been implemented before, the behavior and responsibility of the first group of Uzbek citizens will determine future work. The agreement was signed online due to the large distance between the countries. The next step is the allocation of quotas.

Musayev noted that for the American side, Uzbekistan represents new labor, a new nation, and a new country. Therefore, within the pilot project, a certain number of people will be sent first. If they demonstrate hard work, responsibility, compliance with laws, and rapid integration into society, quotas are expected to increase year by year.
