Uzbekistan's Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations, Kongratbay Sharipov, met with Russia's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Alexey Yerkhov. The meeting focused on ways to further develop cooperation in education and science between the two countries.

During the discussions, it was noted that a strong foundation for interaction already exists, and ties in this field continue to expand. The number of Uzbek students choosing to study at Russian universities is growing, and academic exchanges are also increasing.

The meeting addressed how to improve the quality of education and make joint programs more beneficial in terms of labor market demands. Particular attention was given to the operations of Russian university branches in Uzbekistan and their future development.

Following the talks, both sides confirmed their intention to continue cooperation and make it more practical and results-oriented. This highlights the significance of strategic relations between the two nations.

It is worth noting that Kongratbay Sharipov previously held a meeting with Bangladesh's Minister of Education, Choudhuri Rafiqul Abrar, indicating Uzbekistan's efforts to broaden its international educational partnerships.
