In Fergana, Uzbekistan, law enforcement agencies conducted a major operation, preventing the distribution of narcotics and potent medicinal drugs with a total value of 100 million sum (approximately $8,000). The operation was carried out by officers from the city department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office in collaboration with other law enforcement bodies.

According to official reports, the suspect was apprehended in the “Beshbola” neighborhood while selling hashish, a narcotic substance, for 2.8 million sum. A large batch of psychotropic drugs was also found at his residence. As evidence, 558 units of the potent medicine Regapen were confiscated, and a criminal case has been initiated.

This incident is part of ongoing anti-drug efforts in Fergana, following a recent report of a drug laboratory being shut down in the Sergeli district of Tashkent. In that operation, potent substances and precursors worth over 4.5 billion sum were seized, highlighting the persistent challenge of drug trafficking across Uzbekistan and the authorities' intensified crackdown on such activities.
