A new multidisciplinary clinic has been inaugurated at the Fergana Institute of Public Health, constructed on the basis of City Hospital No. 2. The facility has become one of the first comprehensive Smart AI clinics in the country, equipped with artificial intelligence systems, marking a step forward in healthcare modernization efforts in the region.

According to the Ministry of Health, over 50 billion soums from the institute's extrabudgetary funds were spent on the clinic's construction. The new medical institution is outfitted with advanced technologies: AI monitoring systems enable real-time tracking of patient requests. When a doctor is called, a red indicator lights up above the room door, ensuring immediate staff response, which could enhance care efficiency but also raises questions about implementation costs and training.

The wards are equipped with multifunctional electronic beds controlled by remotes, as well as Nurse Call System panels for communication with nurses. Sanitary rooms feature SOS buttons for emergency calls to medical personnel. Large monitors in the corridors broadcast all patient requests online, creating a transparent control system, though this may involve challenges related to data privacy and infrastructure maintenance.

The clinic includes departments for general therapy, surgery, anesthesiology and resuscitation, admission and diagnostics, as well as physiotherapy. Previously, it was reported that the private medical services market in the republic is showing steady growth: in 2025, 1,329 private clinics received licenses to begin operations, indicating an expansion of the private sector in healthcare amid broader economic shifts.
