By decree of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a comprehensive reform of the Presidential Public Reception system has been announced. The primary aim of the transformation is to strengthen direct dialogue between the authorities and the population, while enhancing mechanisms for effectively addressing citizens' issues. Under the new framework, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city khokims (governors), as well as district and city khokims, will oversee operations on a voluntary basis.

These officials are mandated to regularly conduct personal meetings with residents, promptly respond to appeals, and take measures to resolve local problems. This initiative is designed to increase the accountability of leaders and ensure their direct involvement in practical work. Additionally, ministers and regional khokims must submit reports to the president on systemic issues identified in citizens' appeals and plans for their resolution.

The reform includes the full digitalization of personal and mobile citizen receptions, enabling better monitoring of their implementation. Collective appeals will be reviewed with the participation of population representatives and mahalla (community) members, and their removal from oversight will only be possible with the consent of the applicants. These changes are intended to boost the system's transparency and reinforce public trust.

It is recalled that recently, Farrukh Omonov was appointed as the head of the Presidential Public Reception. Under his leadership, the implementation of these reforms will be monitored, reflecting the government's efforts to organize more efficient interaction with the populace.
