President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan visited the Sahibqiran Square in the capital, Tashkent, to commemorate the 690th anniversary of the great statesman and military commander Amir Temur. The head of state laid a wreath at the foot of the Sahibqiran monument, emphasizing that the figure of this undefeated commander remains an unwavering symbol of national pride and statehood.

During the event, the president paid special attention to the spiritual connection between the Timurid era and the construction of New Uzbekistan. Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the principles of justice and humanism laid down by Amir Temur seven centuries ago now serve as a programmatic guide for implementing large-scale social reforms. On the initiative of the head of state, the study of the Timurid heritage has taken on a systematic character: April has been declared the monthly Month of Amir Temur, "The Ordinances of Temur" are being republished, and "Temurbeklar Maktabi" schools are being developed in the regions to educate youth in the spirit of patriotism.

The president also highlighted the importance of preserving historical identity for future generations. Under his personal patronage, a fundamental reconstruction of the State Museum of Timurid History was carried out, transforming it into a modern center of science and innovation. The head of state emphasized that the creative energy of that time serves as the foundation for the current Third Renaissance.

Concluding the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, continuing the noble tradition of Sahibqiran in improving and greening the homeland, planted a tree in the square. This symbolic gesture embodied the continuity of generations and commitment to the constructive path of the country's development, where respect for the great past is inextricably linked with care for a prosperous future.
