Uzbekistan has introduced an online service for replacing damaged or unfit state license plates for motor vehicles, as announced by the Unified Interactive Portal of State Services (my.gov.uz). This service enables citizens to submit applications for plate replacement without queuing, aiming to save time and reduce bureaucratic hurdles in the process.
To use the service, citizens must access the my.gov.uz portal, select the "Restoration of the State Registration Plate of a Damaged Vehicle" service, fill out an application, and attach a clear photograph of the damaged license plate showing its condition. After review by the authorized body, the applicant receives an invoice for payment, which is processed online, streamlining the administrative steps.
Upon payment completion, the citizen can visit the designated territorial division to surrender the old plate and receive a new one. The service fee is based on the basic calculation amount (BCA): 1,854,000 soums (4.5 BCA) for a pair of plates (front and rear), and 927,000 soums (2.25 BCA) for a single plate. These rates are set by the government as standard charges for such replacements.
To expedite the review process, it is recommended to upload a high-quality photo that accurately depicts the plate's condition when submitting the application. This helps avoid delays and ensures smoother processing. Additionally, Uzbekistan previously launched the AvtoRaqam app for selecting license plates, complementing this new service and enhancing convenience for vehicle owners in the country.
