Prominent Tashkent restaurateur and founder of the Caravan Group network, Timur Musin, has put key assets of his business up for sale. Listings on the OLX platform have appeared for the Palove Museum restaurant in Tashkent, the Caravan restaurant, and the Cinara’s ethnographic complex in Tashkent Region, with a total estimated value of 294 billion soums (approximately $24.4 million).

The Palove Museum is priced at 150 billion soums, the Caravan restaurant at 45 billion soums, and the Cinara’s complex at 99 billion soums. According to the listings, the payback period for the projects is around 7 years. Musin attributed this decision to legal disputes, investment risks, and the current business environment.

The entrepreneur stated that the Cinara’s project, developed over 13 years with archaeologists, architects, and artists, was intended to become a cultural code for the country but encountered the "underwater rocks" of the judicial system and turned into an object of "legal" expropriation. Musin emphasized that the lack of property rights protection, independent courts, and high-interest rates are undermining the business climate.

Legal proceedings are ongoing: in 2023, a court ordered compensation to be paid, but this was overturned in 2024, and in 2025, the presidium of the Supreme Court, upon a prosecutor's protest, sent the case for review. The company has also faced issues such as land seizures, prolonged permit approvals, and the termination of cooperation with foreign partners.

Musin views the sale of part of the assets and a shift to a "waiting mode" as a strategic move. He noted that as long as the judiciary remains dependent, any business environment will remain ineffective, and he preferred capital diversification over continuing operations under current conditions.
