In March 2026, passenger car sales in Uzbekistan exceeded 78,000 units, marking a 19% increase compared to the previous month. According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, the year-on-year growth reached 20.6%. While sales activity rose in most regions, declines were recorded in Jizzakh, Andijan, and Samarkand regions.

The highest sales growth was registered in Surkhandarya Region at 51.4%. In Tashkent Region, the indicator increased by 46%. In Syrdarya and Navoiy regions, growth stood at 34.5% and 27.5%, respectively. In Tashkent city, sales surged by 60.5% over the month.

Sales of new passenger cars in March amounted to nearly 31,000 units, rising by 13% relative to February and by 37% year-on-year. In the segment of locally produced cars, sales totaled about 25,000 units, with a monthly increase of 3.8% and an annual increase of 26.5%.

In the segment of new foreign-produced cars, sales almost doubled compared to February, reaching approximately 5,700 units. The annual growth also exceeded twofold. On the secondary market, sales volume amounted to 47,500 cars, increasing by 23% monthly and by 12% annually.

Sales of electric vehicles in the primary and secondary markets totaled 5,500 units, which is 24% higher than the same period last year. Growth was recorded in eight regions, while declines were noted in four. The most significant increase in electric vehicle sales was observed in Khorezm Region (fivefold). In Navoiy Region, the indicator grew 3.6 times, in Jizzakh Region 2.9 times, and in Fergana Region 2.2 times.
