Significant work is underway in Tashkent to expand the metro system. According to information announced by the government leadership, construction of new routes and stations is proceeding at an accelerated pace, as part of a comprehensive program aimed at improving the city's transport infrastructure.

Under the project, new stations are planned for the "New Tashkent" and "Chilonzor" routes, along with modernization of existing lines. Official statements claim that these updates will not only ease passenger flow but also positively impact the city's economic development, though some experts raise questions about budget expenditures and construction timelines.

It is emphasized that modern technologies and local materials are being used in the construction process, which helps enhance the project's sustainability and efficiency. However, many city residents express dissatisfaction with transport issues and temporary inconveniences due to the construction work, potentially negatively affecting social acceptance of the project.

Government representatives stated that they plan to complete major phases of the project by 2025, but these deadlines may shift due to economic hardships and technical challenges. While the expansion of the Tashkent metro is important for urban development, its implementation faces various difficulties and criticism.
