Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The Hajj 2026 season has been officially announced, with the first groups of pilgrims from Uzbekistan set to depart for Saudi Arabia in early May.
According to the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the pilgrimage season will begin on May 2 and last until May 18. Pilgrims will depart from nine cities across the country, including Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Termez, and Urgench. All flights will be direct to Medina.
Transportation to Saudi Arabia will be provided by FlyAdeal airline, while return flights to Uzbekistan will be operated by national carrier Uzbekistan Airways. Extensive organizational work has been carried out in preparation for the Hajj: all pilgrims have undergone medical examinations and received meningitis vaccinations, visas and necessary documents have been processed, group leaders have been appointed, and training sessions have been conducted.
Each pilgrim will receive a special kit including the guidebook “Hajj – Great Worship,” a bag, vest, thermos, umbrella, SIM card, and phone charger. Working groups are already in Saudi Arabia preparing accommodation in Mecca and Medina, as well as in the valleys of Mina and Arafat, where the main Hajj rituals take place.
All rules and recommendations for pilgrims are published on the official resources of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan to ensure the safe and organized conduct of one of the most important religious events of the year. Earlier, the Committee for Religious Affairs reminded Uzbek citizens of the rules for organizing pilgrimages and the strict liability for attempts to perform Hajj outside official channels.
