A series of projects have been agreed in Paris that will open up opportunities for Uzbek citizens to engage in legal seasonal work, vocational training, and employment in leading sectors of the French economy.

A delegation from Uzbekistan's Migration Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and embassy in France held a series of meetings with French partners aimed at developing legal and organized channels for labor migration.

Special attention was paid to the agricultural sector. An agreement was reached with the French Federation of Agricultural Producers FNSEA to attract Uzbek citizens for seasonal work, particularly in viticulture. A pilot project will launch this summer, with 50 Uzbek specialists heading to France for work.

An agreement was also signed with the French recruiting company Sélect Recruiting Service, which will handle candidate selection and subsequent placement in the French labor market.

A separate area of cooperation is the “education + work” program in the catering sector. In partnership with CFA AC Paris, a system is being developed to combine study and employment in France.

During the visit, negotiations were held with representatives of French state structures, including the ministries of foreign affairs, interior, and education, as well as the employment agency France Travail, the Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Paris public hospital system AP-HP.

Following the meetings, the parties confirmed their intention to develop long-term cooperation to expand legal employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens and enhance their professional training abroad.
