The first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich has already made history. At the Parc des Princes, PSG secured a dramatic 5-4 victory over the German giants.

The match produced a total of nine goals, setting an absolute record for the highest-scoring semifinal in Champions League history. Never before have two teams combined for so many goals at this stage of the competition.

For PSG, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a brace (24' and 56'). Ousmane Dembélé converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time and added another from open play in the 58th minute. João Neves also found the net in the 33rd minute after a corner from Dembélé.

Bayern's goals came from Harry Kane, who scored a penalty in the 17th minute, and Michael Olise in the 41st minute. In the second half, Dayot Upamecano (65') and Luis Díaz (68') pulled two goals back for the visitors, but they could not find an equalizer before the final whistle.

The return leg will be played in Munich next week on Thursday, May 7, with kickoff scheduled for midnight Tashkent time.
