The volume of cross-border remittances to Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to $3.8 billion, a 13% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the Central Bank, growth remains moderate. In January, remittances totaled $1.2 billion, up from $1.06 billion in January 2025. In February, the figure rose from $1.07 billion to $1.2 billion, and in March from $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the positive difference between currency sales and purchases by the population in the first three months reached $2.9 billion, 1.8 times higher than in the same period of 2025.
