Negotiations between the Directorate for Construction of New Tashkent and top management of Saudi Arabia's Sumou Holding Company have taken place. The main topic was a large-scale investment project to build a modern residential complex, which may be symbolically named the 'Riyadh' quarter.
Representatives of Sumou Holding, ranked among the top 100 largest Arab world companies by Forbes Middle East, inspected the progress of construction in the 'city of the future'. The Saudi side proposes not just construction, but comprehensive project management, in-depth market analysis, and direct investment in New Tashkent real estate.
Sumou Holding has vast experience in creating residential infrastructure. In 2025 alone, the holding signed contracts worth $533 million to build 800 residential buildings in Riyadh, Dammam, and Al Khobar. This experience is now planned to be applied to create a comfortable urban environment in the capital of Uzbekistan.
The implementation of the 'Riyadh' project will be another step in strengthening business ties with Saudi Arabia and attracting leading global developers to the ambitious Tashkent expansion project. The parties continue to discuss technical details and implementation stages of the future residential area.
