Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Tax revenues from foreign technology giants providing online services in Uzbekistan have surged dramatically. In the first quarter of 2026, 89 foreign companies paid 65.7 billion soums to the republic's budget, an 81% increase compared to the same period last year.

This trend indicates the accelerated legalization and development of the country's digital economy. The list of top taxpayers is led by Apple (16.1 billion soums), Google (14.9 billion soums), and Meta (13.9 billion soums). Significant amounts also came from Valve Corp. (8 billion soums) and chatbot developer OpenAI (2.5 billion soums).

The top 10 payers of the "Google tax" also include services such as Anthropic (1.5 billion soums), gaming platform Midasbuy (1.3 billion soums), TikTok (868.3 million soums), Booking.com (694.7 million soums), and Netflix (570.4 million soums). The growth in payments confirms that the online services market in Uzbekistan is becoming increasingly transparent and attractive to global players.
