On the morning of May 10, in the village of Ertashsay in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region, heavy rainfall left residents and vacationers stranded on the other side of a mountain stream.
According to a citizen who contacted Kun.uz, more than 100 people and over 20 vehicles were unable to cross the stream and remained stuck in the village.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that rainwater collected from the foothills passed through Ertashsay. The strong water flow damaged a temporary suspension bridge built by locals for vacationers to cross the stream.
Emergency services, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, local administration, and other rapid response units, arrived promptly at the scene. The situation was brought under control, and vacationers were moved to a safe area. No casualties were reported.
The village of Ertashsay is a tourist area located on the slope of the Kamchik Pass, which connects the capital region with the Fergana Valley.
