A tragic incident occurred in the Denau district of Surkhandarya region, Uzbekistan, during a national kurash wrestling competition. On May 9 at around 2:30 PM, at the stadium of the medical technical school, Ayubkhon Khurramov, son of renowned wrestler Nizomiddin polvon, defeated his opponent Bustonbek Jabborov.

The defeat of his brother enraged Doston Jabborov, who approached Nizomiddin polvon from behind and stabbed him multiple times. Press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office Khayot Shamsutdinov confirmed that the victim was rushed to the district medical association, but despite resuscitation efforts, he died from his injuries.

According to forensic examination, the wrestler sustained four severe stab wounds to the chest, lower back, and buttocks, damaging internal organs. The Denau district prosecutor's office has opened a criminal case under Article 97, Part 2, Paragraph "l" of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder from hooligan motives). The suspect, who has a previous criminal record, has been detained and an investigation is underway.
