By a presidential decree, Ibrohim Kenjabayevich Ergashev has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, the ministry's press service reported.

Ergashev was born in 1980 and graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics. He has extensive experience in various sectors.

From 2001 to 2012, he held various positions at the foreign trade company 'Uzmarkazimpeks'. In 2013, he became Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, and from 2014 to 2016 served as First Deputy Minister.

In 2016–2017, he managed the national exhibition complex 'Uzekspomarkaz', and from 2017 to 2021 headed the 'Uzdavkarantin' inspection.

Since 2021 until this appointment, he served as Director of the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection under the Ministry of Agriculture. In his new role, he will oversee key areas in investment and trade.
